National Trust pay Many staff use to be paid the National Minimum Wage. We've made low pay a priority, and all staff now earn at least 10% above this.
We've recently negotiated a system that will enable staff to move up their payscales. In the past, many people spent years or decades near the bottom of their scales. We want everyone to get to target pay within five years in their grade. Health and safety A health and safety committee structure has been set up, with a network of trained union health and safety reps. They have already dealt with a number of key issues such as stress and harassment.
